The journey of Bholas The Photo Store to become the largest Photo Store today is a significant one. A journey of ups and downs, where the company started with selling rolls and films to manufacturing photo books and sale of photographic equipment, as and when technology has upgraded, the company has not left a star untouched with innovation and the use of fine machinery. From the invention of Karnataka’s first HP Indigo Machine to the printing of Karisma Albums, it has been a fruitful journey.
The managing Director Mr.Pankaj Parikh is the driving force in the organisation who looks to take the company forward with his broad vision.
Our Story
Bholas Started in the year 1972
Our first Store was setup on MG Road. We started with Distributorship of Natraj Albums, Konica Films, Fuji Films, Kodak Films & Black and White Films.
The company during the late 90's
The broad vision of The founder lead to the phase which gave large recognition to the company when a renounced dealer in the album manufacturing industry Natraj Albums joint hands with The company during the late 90’s and Bholas became the distributors of Natraj Albums all over Karnataka. Then the company opened its second outlet at Majestic as this area is the market hub of photography enthusiasts .
Bholas In the Year 2003
The Founder , Shri Himatbhai Parikh always had a vision to lead the organisation and act as the driving force to the company. He started during the year 1972 where he thought of opening a small outlet with the savings he had from his previous business at MG Road Named H Pankaj And Co . The company sealed with various photographic goods such as black and white films Albums etc and carried the legacy forward with expanding to Digital Printing and Manufacturing of Photo books.
Opened the largest camera store in India during the year 2017.

The company has now expanded vastly in camera’s and accessories with various stores at locations across the city such as Indiranagar Jaynagar and Mahadevpura alongwith the head office at Gandhinagar. It believes in expanding its sales and carrying forward the legacy and motto of the founder who is a source of inspiration.

During my college days, retail business was something I always wanted to start, and to start with a business linked to our roots & therefore my dad and I started a chain of retail stores across Bangalore. We are trying to add new brands and products day by day to our portfolio to increase our offerings to customers.
We truly have a Fantastic and supportive photography community by our side and we look forward to increasing our exposure of retail stores across India.
I have been working for the last 5 years and look to take the organization forward by supporting the managing director in all possible ways. My knowledge of photographic equipment and cameras is significant as I am trained by my father to run the company.
